PassPer is a European platform for digital product passports, built and operated by AutoNMS. We help manufacturers, importers and brand owners meet the EU passport obligations that begin with batteries on 18 February 2027 — by getting the data into shape, not just by issuing a QR code. In one line: PassPer is the product-passport platform of AutoNMS (Cyprus, registration HE477557), hosted in the EU, with a deliberately short list of things we claim and a published list of things we do not.
What we actually do
The hard part of a product passport is almost never the passport. It is assembling roughly 110 data attributes — 94 of them mandatory from 18 February 2027 — when a large share of them originate several steps up your supply chain. PassPer is built around that problem:
Extraction from documents you already have. Spec sheets, test reports, certificates and supplier declarations are read with AI and mapped to the regulated fields. Extracted values are proposals until a person applies them — nothing is written to a passport automatically.
Supplier data collection without accounts. Your suppliers answer a field-specific request without creating a login, which is the difference between a reply in days and a reply never.
Passport issuing and resolution. GS1 Digital Link QR or Data Matrix, a public resolver, access tiers (public / legitimate interest / authorities), and submission built against the published EU registry specification.

What we deliberately do not claim
Compliance software is a category where overclaiming is normal. We would rather be the boring, checkable option, so here is the explicit list:
We are not ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certified, and we do not describe ourselves as certified or accredited by anyone.
We are not GS1-certified. We support GS1 Digital Link as a carrier standard; that is a different statement.
We do not publish customer counts, logos or named references. When we have references we are allowed to name, they will appear with permission.
We do not act as an authorised representative and we do not file EPR registrations. Where a regulation requires those, you need a separate provider.
We cannot guarantee that supplier data arrives. We can make it far more likely, and we document what was requested and when — which is itself worth something under market surveillance.
On eIDAS: qualified sealing is built into the registry-submission path and activates once the qualified certificate is provisioned. QTSP onboarding is in its final stage. Until that is live we do not describe issued passports as carrying a qualified seal.
Who is accountable
PassPer is a brand of AutoNMS, registered in Cyprus under number HE477557. The platform and its data are hosted in the European Union (Hetzner, Germany). There is no third-country transfer of passport data in normal operation.

If you are evaluating us against another provider, the two questions worth asking both of us are: what happens to my passport data if you disappear? and can I export everything in an open format? Our answer is that passports must stay resolvable for the regulated product lifetime — up to 15 years for batteries — which is longer than most software contracts, so exportability and documented custody arrangements are part of the product rather than an afterthought.
Why we publish our reference data for free
We maintain the complete EU battery passport field list — all 110 attributes with datatype, access tier and mandatory status, reconciled against Annex XIII of Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 and DIN DKE SPEC 99100:2025 — and we publish it openly under CC BY 4.0, as a machine-readable JSON file and a CSV. No sign-up, no email wall.
That is a deliberate choice. Most providers in this space put their field list behind a lead form. We think the field list is not the product — the work of filling it is. Publishing it means anyone can check our numbers, including people who will never buy anything from us, and it means the reference stays useful even if you choose a competitor.

Is PassPer certified or accredited?
No, and we do not claim to be. We are not ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certified and we are not GS1-certified. We support GS1 Digital Link as a carrier standard, which is a statement about interoperability rather than certification. Our deliverable is a compliance-verified passport with a signed Field-Completeness Statement checked against the Article 77 mandatory field list.
What happens to my passports if PassPer stops operating?
Battery passports must stay resolvable for the regulated product lifetime, up to 15 years, which is longer than most software contracts. Your data is exportable in open formats at any time, and custody arrangements for continued resolution are part of the commercial agreement rather than an afterthought. Ask any provider this question before signing.
Does PassPer act as an authorised representative or file EPR registrations?
No. Where a regulation requires an authorised representative — for example Article 45 of the PPWR — or an extended producer responsibility registration, you need a separate provider for that role. We prepare the product and packaging data you need for both.
